Working closely with the Head of Projects, the Projects Lead will drive project execution with deep engineering expertise and hands-on waterproofing knowledge. This pivotal role combines design, planning, site oversight, and quality assurance to ensure every project—from complex podium slabs and pool waterproofing to basement protection—achieves flawless, defect-free results using optimal methods and materials. As a technical authority, you will translate specifications into practical solutions, produce detailed drawings, and safeguard our reputation for uncompromising quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, develop detailed method statements, and produce technical materials for membrane, PU foam, polyurea, and cementitious systems
• Lead pre-construction planning, material take-offs, sequencing, and risk assessments for roofs, podiums, basements, pools, and retaining walls
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to supervisors and technicians, ensuring correct application techniques, detailing, and quality control at every stage
• Source, vet, and manage suppliers and subcontractors ensuring technical compatibility and contractual compliance
• Negotiate framework agreements and oversee subcontractor performance across multiple simultaneous projects
• Conduct site inspections, approve critical stages (substrate prep, membrane application, protection layers), and oversee flood/ponding tests and adhesion verification
• Resolve complex site challenges (cracks, honeycombing, movement joints, drainage issues) with practical engineering solutions that maintain waterproof integrity
• Manage project timelines, resources, and client/consultant communications while upholding strict safety and QA/QC standards
• Mentor project teams, drive continuous improvement in methods and materials, and contribute to tender technical submissions
• Ensure full compliance with UAE building codes, manufacturer specifications, and WP Waterproofers' zero-defect philosophy

Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
• 3-5 years in waterproofing, including managing complex projects (roofs, podiums, pools, basements) in UAE/GCC
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
• Deep technical mastery of torch-on bituminous, liquid-applied, spray PU foam/polyurea, and cementitious systems
• Proven ability to interpret architectural/structural drawings and translate into waterproofing solutions
• Strong QA/QC expertise including water testing protocols, adhesion tests, and failure analysis
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (5–20 personnel) while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality
• Organized, responsible, decisive leader with excellent communication skills (English essential; Arabic and Hindi beneficial)
